The History of Lacrosse Sticks

There have been many manufacturers of lacrosse sticks, both traditional and plastic/composite.

One of these was John Wesley Patterson who manufactured custom-made lacrosse sticks on the Tuscarora Reservation in New York and sold them worldwide.  Born and raised on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation, Patterson was 10 when he took a great interest in lacrosse and started creating sticks as a teenager out of hickory trees on the reservation.
