February 22, 2019 – OTTAWA, ON – The Canadian Lacrosse Foundation is pleased to announce that the Video Lacrosse Library and Lacrosse Talks project will soon be launched to the general public. The project will feature video and podcast interviews of some of Canada’s most dynamic lacrosse builders, coaches and players. The purpose of the project is to capture the personal stories of those that have shaped the game over the last 80 years or so.
“The Canadian Lacrosse Foundation is very proud to partner with the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Lacrosse Hall of Fame in our ‘Video Lacrosse Library and Lacrosse Talks’ project,” said Jim Burke, Canadian Lacrosse Foundation Chairman.
“This project was developed to capture some of the oral history of the game of lacrosse as told through the experiences of a diverse group of experienced players, coaches and administrators. The design and development of this project allows the Foundation to meet one of its major purposes: to advance the public understanding of the role of lacrosse in the history and cultural development of Canada. Through this project with the various Halls of Fame, we will be able to preserve these presentations for future generations.“
The first two Legends will be made accessible to the public through the release of completed videos on Tuesday Feb. 26, 2019. Over the next 20 weeks, two Legends of Lacrosse videos will be released every two weeks.
